Candle Care
All our Magickal Glaze candle wicks have been trimmed to 4-5mm for your convenience so there is no need to trim your wick on its first burn. When lighting your Magickal Glaze candle it is important to burn it long enough until all the surface wax has melted.
You may remove the crystals during the first burn but if you choose to leave the crystals in, ensure they do not fall onto the wick. If they do once the candle fire is extinguished use a toothpick to reposition the wick and push the crystals to the side. If you are lighting Magickal Glaze candles that contains dried flowers or magickal herbs, it is important to keep an eye out as these herbs may also get caught on fire. Do not panic! just make sure the herbs are kept away from the wick, once the wax surface has fully melted the herbs should start to sink down.
We recommend burning your candle not longer than 4 hours at a time. It is important to trim your wick back down to 4-5mm each time before re-lighting your Magickal Glaze candle. A wick length any longer than this may result a mushrooming of the wick and a faster burn through of wax.
Please ensure you place your Magickal Glaze candle away from vents, wind or draft areas, as this will diminish your candles burn time, and may cause an uneven burn. Always burn candles on a surface that is heat proof. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish your candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. Before moving your candle make sure the flame is extinguished also it is important to keep candles out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
When your candle has reached 30mm of wax at the bottom, discontinue burning of the candle for the safety of your jar & the surface the jar is placed on. Crystals can endure extreme level of heat, ensure you rinse it with warm water to melt away any remaining wax, you may then gently remove your crystals with caution.
